Based on our observation, we have seen an increase of jellyfish during the height of the dry season (end January to February) and also the transition period from the dry to the wet season (April to May). During the dry season, the seawater temperature encourages the growth of the animals in the water, a number that slowly decreases until the first rain arrives. The wind too plays a part in ‘blowing’ in the sea jellies.
There is a wild population of sea jellies within the bay but you would be lucky to spot one.
We provide complimentary snorkelling gears to our in-house guests at the Water Sports Pavilion.
