Rainforest Course
Ernie Els is one of the most successful golfers in the history of the game, having won more than 65 tournaments since turning professional in 1989, including two US Opens, two Open Championships, and a record seven World Matchplay titles. Ernie was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2011.
Ernie was born in South Africa on 17th October 1969. His classic, powerful golf swing is universally admired, and aspired to, from both sides of the ropes. His easy-going nature masks a fierce competitive drive and it is all of these qualities, along with an engaging on course persona, that have helped make Ernie one of the most popular golfers in the game today, earning him the nickname “Big Easy”.
Located amongst a tropical rainforest with spectacular views of both the mountains and ocean, the course does not have bunkers but features eight water hazards as well as majestic tree lined fairways making for an interesting golf experience. The signature hole, which skirts the shoreline is Teluk Datai at Hole number 7.

Course Maintenance Notice
Please be informed that as part of our scheduled course maintenance, hollow tining will be carried out in June 2025. During this time, play will be limited as follows:
- 09 to 15 June 2025: Only the Back Nine will be available for play
- 16 to 20 June 2025: Only the Front Nine will be available for play
* Golfers will be required to play the same nine holes twice to complete a full 18-hole round during these periods
Special Rates During Maintenance
To ensure an enjoyable experience for all our guests, we are pleased to offer the following special rates:
- 9 to 15 June 2025: Enjoy a 10% discount on the advertised 18-hole rate (no discount on 9-hole play)
- 16 to 20 June 2025: Enjoy a 15% discount on both 18-hole and 9-hole advertised rates
Practice Range, Lessons and Clinics
We have a dedicated golf professional on-site, Mr Anas Nasir who is PGAM certified. A PGAM certified golf professional is able to provide lessons and clinics to those who are looking to improve their game. The practice range includes 15 bays and a chipping area of 1,000 square metres, along with a putting green that is 1,200 square metres in size.
