As evening settles over the rainforest, the celebration unfolds through a symphony of flavours and artistic performances by creative talents from across the country. The culinary journey finds its fullest expression through a series of themed evenings, including Langkawi Night, where heritage flavours and live gamelan honour the island’s spirit; Taste of the Rainforest, a refined farm-to-table showcase of local and organic ingredients; and A Mystical Night by the beach, which brings together a coastal seafood feast and evocative storytelling beneath the stars. The festival culminates in a Gala Evening, featuring a fundraising auction and a curated six-hands dinner with special guest chef, Jack Weldie of Chipta 11a – Kuala Lumpur.

Traditional rhythms and a school performance bring Langkawi's heritage and its young people right into the heart of The Lobby.
A celebration of island flavours — Langkawi's coastal abundance brought to the table through heritage dishes, tropical produce and fresh local ingredients. Local cooks and artisans share their food, crafts and traditions, and guests are invited to meet them directly. Gamelan and caklempong welcome you as you arrive, and lanterns and warm evening light set the scene for a night shaped by the island's spirit.
A farm-to-table evening that traces each dish back to its source — forest herbs, tropical fruits, sustainable grains and greens, with the chefs and vendors on hand to tell the stories behind what's on your plate. Meruked play that night, weaving the sounds of the rainforest through rhythm, chant and melody.
Fishermen arrive with the day's fresh catch as the shoreline comes to life with coastal traditions. A special Fusion Wayang Kulit performance blends traditional shadow puppetry with contemporary storytelling, bringing Langkawi's folklore alive against the night sky. The forest edge and shoreline take on an ethereal, bioluminescent glow, while Syed's soft acoustic melodies drift through the dark, woven through with poetry and myth.
The evening is built around the idea of reciprocity — celebrating what nature gives us, and giving something back. A thoughtfully assembled multi-course dinner draws on sustainable sourcing, local produce and mindful cooking. Alena Murang provides the soundtrack: music that blends tradition with rock and folk, drawing inspiration from her Bornean heritage.
