The Datai Langkawi welcomes families and children. We have many varied children’s activities which are very popular with guests, from gardening in our Permaculture Garden to butterfly spotting, to cookery classes. Please find below information relating to our families and children services. Extra bedding
|
Children aged 11 and under stay for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. The maximum number of children allowed to stay for free is subject to the room type booked. For children aged 5-11, a surcharge of MYR 80+ per child applies for breakfast. To convert the daybed into an extra bed for an additional adult (12 years and over), there will be a charge of MYR 420+ per night. For the additional person in the room, existing daybeds are set up and as such, we do not provide rollaway beds. |

Babysitting |
This service is available at a fee. However, we would appreciate 24 hrs advance notice to ensure all necessary requirements are in place to ensure the maximum care for your child(ren). |

Room Safety |
Safety is our utmost priority. The balcony in selected room categories has a bottom ledge which children may be able to climb on. For their safety, we highly recommend that children of all ages are closely monitored when on the room balcony. |

Nature Activities |
There are many activities and excursions available at The Nature Centre for children as well as parents. The lounge and patio also serve as a secure location for children to relax and refresh within nature. |

Dining Venues |
Children under 12 can enjoy meals with their parents at The Beach Club for both lunch and dinner, The Dining Room for lunch, The Lobby Lounge for afternoon tea, The Gulai House and The Pavilion for dinner. They are only requested to refrain from using The Lobby Lounge after 19:00 and The Dining Room after 18:00. The Beach Bar lounge area is free for use throughout the day. However, children under 16 are requested to refrain from using The Beach Bar counter. |

Children's Menus |
A children’s menu is available at all restaurants (except for breakfast) as well as for In-Room Dining. A special menu for children aged 2 and under offers a complimentary selection of meals catered to suit their tastes. |

Pool Policy |
There are no lifeguards on duty, though our pool and water sports attendants are trained in CPR and first aid. We request that children under 16 are accompanied by an adult when using the pool. The resort has two swimming pools: the Adult Pool located at the main hotel building; the Family Pool is next to the beach. Children under 16 are kindly requested to use the beach pool located opposite The Beach Club restaurant at their convenience. The toddler pool and wading area also offer a safe and entertaining space for children. The main pool located opposite The Dining Room is reserved for adults only. |

The Health Club |
Due to the nature of the equipment, children under 12 are prohibited from using the fitness centre facilities. Children over 12 are permitted to use The Health Club with the supervision of an adult. |

Water Sports Pavilion |
For safety reasons, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult while using the water sports equipment. Adult supervision is advisable for children under 12. |
