The Datai Langkawi welcomes Nils Henkel, one of Germany’s most respected chefs. Henkel has been the head chef of Restaurant Schwarzenstein Nils Henkel, since 2017, with the restaurant obtaining two Michelin stars just nine months after his arrival. Henkel’s revolutionary ‘Pure Nature’ culinary concept is an imaginative play on textures and aromatic extravagances, with particular emphasis on vegetables, herbs and spices. In essence, it is the creation of an entirely new gastronomic experience what Henkel describes as 'pure, unadulterated enjoyment'
Henkel will be creating a special six-course edition of highly acclaimed 'Flora' and 'Fauna' menus. The 'Fauna' menu surpasses using the very best local produce from land and sea, infusing the rich quality of the ingredients with flavours from the region.
