A tropical paradise, Langkawi enjoys temperatures between 26°C and 33°C. While the dry season lasts from late November until early March, the sun rarely stays out of sight for more than a couple of hours even during the rainy period which makes the island a popular destination throughout the year.
No vaccination typical for other tropical countries is required. However, prior to traveling, do obtain up-to-date information and make sure you have travel insurance.
While the official language is Bahasa Malaysia, English is widely spoken so discovering the island, ordering your favorite dish or asking for assistance while shopping presents no challenge.
International Credit Cards such as American Express, Visa and MasterCard, as well as local bank cards are widely accepted in Langkawi.
