“Dance began as ritual – a way to ground us, to connect us, to honour where we come from.” – Hannah Moujing
As part of Serenity – The Datai Well-being Series, we welcomed Indigenous Movement Practitioner Hannah Moujing to our shores in June. In collaboration with traditional musician and fellow practitioner Eleanor Goroh, she invited guests to experience movement as meditation, embrace impermanence, and reconnect with nature’s rhythm. Drawing from traditional Bornean practices, Hannah revealed how movement – like nature itself – reminds us that we are all indigenous to the earth.
